Wigan beat promoted Toulouse after early scare in Round 22

Toulouse Olympique, promoted to the Betfred Super League for 2026 alongside York Knights, made their first appearance of the season at Wigan Warriors on 8 August 2026. Toulouse scored first before Wigan replied through converted tries from Eckersley, French and Marshall to win. Toulouse famously upset St Helens 22-20 in their 2022 debut Super League campaign.
