Gaza Protest Unfurls 60,000-Name Shroud Across Locarno's Piazza Grande

Roughly 100 demonstrators unfurled a shroud bearing the names of 60,000 people killed in Gaza across Locarno's Piazza Grande on 8 August, ahead of an evening screening. Three Swiss groups organised the peaceful action; its timing and placement were pre-arranged with festival organisers and police. The shroud had previously been displayed in Amsterdam and Bern, Variety reports.
