Charli XCX made an unannounced appearance during The Strokes' headlining set at Outside Lands in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park on 9 August 2026, joining them to perform 'Take It or Leave It', the closing track of their 2001 debut 'Is This It?'. Rolling Stone reported the cameo. Charli XCX had headlined the festival the previous night. Casablancas introduced her as "a superstar."
