Judd Trump fell 6-3 to world number 45 Noppon Saengkham in the China Open first round in Taiyuan. A break of 120 put Saengkham 5-2 up; he closed out 78-0. Trump, world number one since August 2024, must win this month's Wuhan Open and hope other results fall his way. Zhao Xintong is closest to overhauling him.
