Obama's Higher Ground recruited Larry David for HBO Semiquincentennial comedy

Barack Obama produced HBO's seven-part sketch comedy limited series "Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness" under his Higher Ground banner. Executive producer Jeff Schaffer told Deadline that Obama approached his friend Larry David to make the show celebrating the United States Semiquincentennial — the country's 250th birthday. The series debuted 26 June and concluded 7 August on HBO.
