Schoenbrun's 'Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma' opens in theatres August 7

Jane Schoenbrun's third feature opened in theatres on August 7, 2026, after premiering at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival and screening at Montreal's Fantasia festival. Hannah Einbinder stars as a queer director hired to reboot a horror franchise; Gillian Anderson plays the original film's final girl. A New York premiere was held at Metrograph on August 5. Schoenbrun wrote and directed.
