Wilde pushed 'The Invite' to theatres over a richer Netflix deal; youngest audience responding

Olivia Wilde told Variety at Locarno she fought for a theatrical release of 'The Invite' though producers could have "just tossed it on Netflix" for more money. The bet is drawing under-35s — the film's largest U.S. audience, with a large portion in their twenties. The four-handed dinner-party comedy screens Locarno's Piazza Grande on 5, 8 and 9 August 2026.
