Anthony Michael Hall: Last Talk with John Hughes Was About a Breakfast Club Sequel

Anthony Michael Hall told The Rich Eisen Show that John Hughes called him around 1988 — with John Candy on the line — to discuss a Breakfast Club sequel reuniting the five characters as adults in their thirties. Hall said the idea never moved beyond that call. It was his final conversation with Hughes, who died of a heart attack on 6 August 2009, aged 59.
