Medical Examiner Rules Brandon Clarke's Death Accidental: Effects of Heroin and Cocaine

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner ruled August 7 that Grizzlies forward Brandon Clarke, 29, died from the effects of heroin and cocaine. Death was ruled accidental. Clarke was found unresponsive in a San Fernando Valley home on May 11, 2026, and pronounced dead at the scene. The case had been listed as "deferred" pending further testing.
