RSC pairs with Warner Bros. and commercial producers for Game of Thrones stage premiere

The RSC is co-producing Game of Thrones: The Mad King with Warner Bros. and commercial producers Simon Painter, Tim Lawson and Mark Manuel. The world premiere play, adapted by Duncan Macmillan and directed by Dominic Cooke, runs at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon until 5 September 2026. The partnership pairs a 1,400-seat subsidised house with a Hollywood studio and commercial producers ahead of any West End transfer.
