High divers back in the Seine after hydrocarbon scare halts training

High divers resumed training in the Seine on Friday after traces of hydrocarbons detected upstream prompted organisers to suspend Thursday sessions. The French Swimming Federation confirmed the affected stretch had been treated. Divers are launching from a 20-metre platform at Pont de Bir-Hakeim during the European Aquatics Championships. Medal rounds are scheduled for Saturday.
