Final Fantasy 7 Revelation ends timed PlayStation exclusivity with simultaneous multiplatform launch

Square Enix confirmed that Final Fantasy 7 Revelation, the final entry in the Remake trilogy, will launch simultaneously on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC. Remake (2020) and Rebirth (2024) each debuted first on PlayStation before reaching other platforms. Revelation is targeting a release window in the first half of 2027, with no firm date announced. New footage will be shown at Gamescom's Opening Night Live on 25 August.
