Pêra's 'Asphalt Guerrilla' to World-Premiere at Locarno on 10 August

Edgar Pêra's "Asphalt Guerrilla" — a Portuguese production three decades in development about the FP-25 militant group active in Portugal from 1980 to 1987 — world-premieres in the Out of Competition programme of the 79th Locarno Film Festival on 10 August 2026, per The Hollywood Reporter. The film adapts a book by Manuel Ricardo de Sousa, an FP-25 member lynched after a bank robbery.
