Angélique Kidjo becomes first African musician to get Hollywood Walk of Fame star

Angélique Kidjo will become the first African musician and first Black African performer to receive a Hollywood Walk of Fame star, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce confirmed to Billboard. The five-time Grammy winner from Benin receives the 2,854th star on 18 August at 7011 Hollywood Boulevard. Willem Dafoe and Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason jr. will speak.
