Conflicting accounts over Jake T. Austin's absence from Wizards Beyond Waverly Place

After Wizards Beyond Waverly Place ended its three-season run on 4 August 2026, Jake T. Austin said on Instagram he was "disappointed" not to be included. He says he told creators in 2020 he was "100% in," but they moved on without his character. Executive producer David Henrie told TV Insider that Austin was "definitely asked back" but was busy. The two accounts remain unreconciled.
