Federal judge orders jury trial for Megan Thee Stallion and Roc Nation in cameraman's lawsuit

Judge Gregory H. Woods of the U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York, denied on 7 August 2026 the defendants' motion for summary judgment in Emilio Garcia v. Roc Nation LLC (1:24-cv-07587). The former cameraman's claims of unpaid wages, New York law discrimination and pay-related retaliation will proceed to a jury. Megan Thee Stallion's attorney Alex Spiro called the accusations "false and fabricated." No trial date is set.
