Flintoff quits England Lions for Sydney Thunder head coach role

Andrew Flintoff has stepped down as England Lions head coach less than two years after his September 2024 appointment. The 48-year-old takes over as Sydney Thunder head coach in the Big Bash League on a two-year deal starting December 2026. Mike Yardy will fill in as interim Lions coach for Wednesday's four-day match against a Professional County Club Select XI at Beckenham.
