Lionsgate revives Leprechaun with Saw writers Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan

Lionsgate is developing a new Leprechaun film scripted by Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan, who wrote Saw IV through Saw 3D, Deadline reported on 7 August 2026. Oren Koules, producer of all ten Saw films (over $1 billion worldwide), will produce via Koulest Productions. No director or release date is set. The franchise spans eight films from 1993 to 2018.
