Burglars broke into the Jacques Chirac Presidential Museum in Sarran, Corrèze, central France, overnight on 5–6 August 2026, likely between midnight and 4 a.m. France 3 Régions and France Info reported the break-in. It is the third at the museum in under a year — two October 2025 burglaries caused more than €1 million in damage — and the fourth since 2011. No stolen items or losses have yet been disclosed.
