John Carpenter's 'Cathedral' arrives as graphic novel and soundtrack album in dual release

John Carpenter's debut graphic novel 'Cathedral' was published by Storm King Comics on 4 August 2026; its companion soundtrack followed on Sacred Bones Records on 7 August. Both build on one story: three police investigators descend into a demonic underworld beneath Los Angeles after a fellow officer's murder. The album, recorded with Cody Carpenter and Daniel Davies, adds heavy metal riffs to Carpenter's synthwave sound.
