Crystal Palace's free-transfer window: Uefa rules cap spending at 70% of revenue

Crystal Palace have not paid a transfer fee for any player this window. Tomiyasu and Óscar Mingueza both arrived on frees. The reason: Uefa's squad cost ratio caps Europa League clubs' spending on wages, transfers and agent fees at 70% of revenue — 15 points below the 85% ceiling for non-European Premier League sides.
