Barcelona cancel Morocco friendly over Ceuta migration crisis
Barcelona cancelled a 15 August friendly against Ittihad Riadi Tangier, calling the fixture "inappropriate" given "current uncertainty." BBC Sport linked the decision to the crisis in Ceuta, a Spanish enclave in North Africa, where around 78,000 migrants crossed from Morocco by sea in the preceding week with approximately 100 deaths reported. The club's La Liga title defence begins 23 August against Elche.
