Zelda film's Ganondorf actor signs multi-picture deal, signalling franchise plans

Uli Latukefu, cast as Ganondorf in Sony's live-action Legend of Zelda film, has signed a multi-picture deal with the studio, according to Polygon and The Verge. The agreement signals plans for a multi-film franchise. Wes Ball directs; production is under way in New Zealand. The film is scheduled for release on 30th April 2027. Nintendo and Sony Pictures are producing.
