Carly Rae Jepsen singles out ABBA Voyage London show as catalyst for new single

Carly Rae Jepsen released "Don't Leave Me on the Dance Floor" on August 7, the first track from the "Night" half of her 24-track double album Day and Night, out September 18. Per Rolling Stone, Jepsen wrote the song with producers CJ Baran and Arthur Besnainou after attending the ABBA Voyage concert residency in London, citing the show as the creative catalyst. The video, directed by playwright Jeremy O. Harris in his music video debut, stars Alden Ehrenreich and Olivia Washington.
