Disney greenlights 'Hidden Heroes: A Descendants Story,' centring on sidekicks' children

Disney has greenlit 'Hidden Heroes: A Descendants Story' for Disney Channel and Disney+, produced by Disney Kids & Family. The film follows descendants of sidekicks — including children of Genie, Kronk, Lumiere and Mrs. Potts — at Sidekick Academy. Jude Weng directs; production begins the week of 7 August 2026. It follows 'Descendants: Wicked Wonderland,' the No. 1 film on Disney+ globally 17–27 July.
