Sian Massey-Ellis retires from officiating to take up FA role

Sian Massey-Ellis has retired from officiating after 16 years and more than 150 Premier League matches as an assistant referee — the official who runs the touchline, flagging offsides. She joined the top flight in 2010, only the second woman to do so. "Although I am stepping away from the touchline, I am not stepping away from football," she said. She now starts a senior FA role developing female officials.
