Pearlman Foundation splits 63-work Post-Impressionist collection across three U.S. museums

The Henry and Rose Pearlman Foundation has donated 63 works to three American museums: the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Brooklyn Museum. Van Gogh's "Tarascon Stagecoach" (October 1888) goes to LACMA, described by The Art Newspaper as the finest work in the gift. Henry Pearlman died in 1974; the dispersal breaks his collection apart.
