Free Quake expansion announced and released same day at QuakeCon 2026

MachineGames and id Software announced and released Quake: Dawn of the Machine on 6 August 2026 at QuakeCon's opening ceremony. The free expansion adds a 19-map campaign, new soundtrack and deathmatch map to the 2021 re-release, available on PC, Xbox, PlayStation and Switch. It marks Quake's 30th anniversary.
