Geelong admits failing to lodge concussion waiver, AFL issues 'please explain'

Geelong CEO Steve Hocking fronted media on 7 August and admitted the club failed to lodge a required concussion player waiver with the AFL and AFLPA. The AFL issued a formal "please explain" letter. Hocking called it a "misstep in the process," took personal responsibility, and said the board is "very supportive." The AFL has not yet decided on sanctions.
