Kolodjashnij names himself as the player behind Geelong's secret concussion waiver
Geelong's Jake Kolodjashnij, 30, a 2022 premiership defender with 200 AFL games, identified himself on 7 August 2026 as the player who signed a secret concussion waiver with the Cats. He said he completed the AFL's independent concussion panel process and was comfortable with its outcome. The agreement has been scrapped after the AFL sent Geelong a "please explain" letter. CEO Steve Hocking called not telling AFL head office a "misstep". Kolodjashnij remains on Geelong's list, named emergency for the 8 August Essendon clash.
