Bella Thorne to Write, Direct and Star in 'Spring Breakers' Sequel After Producers See Unreleased Debut

Bella Thorne will write, direct and star in 'Spring Breakers: Salvation Mountain,' a sequel to Harmony Korine's 2012 cult film, Variety reported on 7 August 2026. Producers Chris Hanley and Jordan Gertner handed Thorne the job after watching an early cut of 'Color Your Hurt,' her unreleased directorial debut. Original director Harmony Korine is not involved and told THR he is 'baffled' by the project.
