Lionsgate Motion Picture profit hits $105 million as 'Michael' clears $1 billion globally

Lionsgate's Motion Picture segment earned $105 million in profit for the quarter ended 30 June 2026, up from $2.4 million a year earlier, Variety reported. Segment revenue more than doubled to $587.3 million. The studio attributed the result to its theatrical slate, led by 'Michael,' the highest-grossing biopic on record with over $1 billion at the global box office.
