Gareth Edwards Exits Jurassic World Rebirth Sequel Over Creative Differences with Universal

Gareth Edwards has parted ways with Universal Pictures on the sequel to Jurassic World Rebirth over creative differences, per Variety. Edwards directed the 2025 original, which grossed $870 million worldwide. No replacement has been announced. Universal had hoped to begin shooting the eighth Jurassic film in 2027.
