DeWanda Wise Leads Starz's Straight-to-Series Black Rodeo Drama

Starz has set DeWanda Wise, Tian Richards and Marcus Mitchell as series regulars in an untitled one-hour, eight-episode Black rodeo drama, per Deadline. Wise plays Anaya Clarke-Reagan, mayor of Trinity City in Southeast Texas. A straight-to-series order — no pilot shot first. Production was expected to begin in Atlanta in August 2026. Kirk A. Moore is showrunner.
