Leckie Studio completes Twin Peaks House on a forested North Vancouver slope

Leckie Studio, based in Vancouver, has completed Twin Peaks House, a 3,790-square-foot (352-square-metre) family residence on a sloped, tree-dotted lot in North Vancouver. Two offset gabled volumes sit on a cast-in-place concrete plinth; grey-hued vertical cedar cladding was chosen so the building "recede[s] among the trees," the studio told Dezeen. North Vancouver's steep, forested lots and tree-protection bylaws have made the area a testing ground for local architects.
