Dolly Parton to receive Americana lifetime achievement award, will accept via video

The Americana Music Association has named Dolly Parton its 2026 lifetime achievement honoree. Executive director Jed Hilly announced the award, recognising her work as artist, songwriter and creator across country, folk, bluegrass, gospel and pop. Parton, a 10-time Grammy winner, will accept via video at the 16 September ceremony at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium rather than attend in person. Billboard reported the announcement.
