Kino Lorber sets September 11 U.S. release for 'Black Zombie'

Kino Lorber will release Maya Annik Bedward's debut documentary 'Black Zombie' in U.S. theatres on September 11, Deadline reports. Blue Finch takes the UK and Australia. The film, which world-premiered at SXSW in March, traces the cinematic zombie to Haitian spiritual traditions and nearly a century of horror's cultural appropriation, per Variety. Runtime: 90 minutes.
