Screen Gems landed the supernatural horror package 'Mime' in a competitive situation, per The Hollywood Reporter (6 August 2026). Stephen Herman wrote the spec. Nikyatu Jusu, whose Sundance-winning 'Nanny' sold to Amazon and Blumhouse, directs her first major-studio film. Scott Derrickson and Matt Tolmach produce; star John David Washington also produces.
