Tracey Emin Foundation Seeks Planning Approval for US$5 Million Margate Seafront Hub
The Tracey Emin Foundation lodged a planning application with Thanet District Council in early August 2026 to redevelop the derelict 1910 Westbrook Loggia in Margate into a 1,050 m² arts and community hub costing US$5 million. Architects Waugh Thistleton unveiled renderings restoring rooftop belvederes, an arched colonnade and a public terrace. Surviving original features, including cast-iron balustrading, would be retained. A council decision timeline has not been announced.
