SFA scraps independent refereeing review panel after clubs withdraw

The Scottish FA has scrapped its Key Match Incident panel after Premiership clubs declined to take part this season. The three-man body, set up in 2024, gave weekly public verdicts on disputed refereeing calls. Dundee United withdrew in February 2025, citing concerns over its "purpose, effectiveness and impact on Scottish football." Other clubs followed.
