Animal Crossing: New Horizons crosses 50 million units, enters all-time top 10

Nintendo reported Animal Crossing: New Horizons at 50.29 million units sold through the quarter ended June 30, 2026, per GameSpot. The life-simulation title added 380,000 units in the quarter, edging past 49.91 million and making it the No. 10 best-selling video game ever. A Switch 2 edition released January 2026 offered a US$5 upgrade path for existing owners.
