Curry Barker's 'Obsession' will receive a special screening at TIFF 2026 on 11 September, nearly a year after its 2025 world premiere there. The film has grossed nearly $500 million worldwide against a $750,000 budget, per Variety — a return ratio approaching 667-to-1, rare territory for an independent film. TIFF also scheduled an onstage conversation with Barker and star Inde Navarrette for its inaugural market programme.
