Hampshire's John Turner retires at 25 months after signing contract through 2027

Hampshire and England fast bowler John Turner has retired at 25, unable to recover from a stress fracture in his back that sidelined him for over a year. Turner signed a Hampshire extension through 2027 in October 2025, when he was already injured. He took 97 wickets in 51 matches across formats and earned an England call-up in 2023.
