WBD–Paramount merger faces state antitrust trial set for March 2027

WBD CEO Zaslav told a Q2 earnings call the pending Paramount merger has been "challenging" but said he is confident it will close. Twelve US states have filed an antitrust lawsuit with trial set for March 2027. The companies had targeted closure by Q3 2026. Paramount claims upwards of $6 billion in cost cuts from the deal.
