Sony's PS5 beta firmware switches PSSR 2.0 to default on PS5 Pro

Sony's latest PS5 beta firmware enables PSSR 2.0 — the upgraded AI upscaler — by default on PS5 Pro, covering over 100 games that supported the original PSSR without requiring a developer patch. Players previously had to manually toggle "Enhance PSSR Image Quality." Sony says the update targets PS5 Pro owners. PSSR 2.0 launched in March 2026.
