Mark Hughes's son Alex died from SADS, coroner concludes

Alex Hughes, 38, son of former Manchester United and Wales striker Mark Hughes, died from Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome, a coroner concluded at Cheshire Coroner's Court. He was found collapsed at his Macclesfield home on 19 June; paramedics could not revive him. SADS kills roughly 500 people in the UK yearly, often from undiagnosed inherited heart conditions.
