12 State AGs and WGA Sue to Block WBD-Paramount Merger; Trial Set for March 2027

Twelve US state attorneys general and the Writers Guild of America filed an antitrust lawsuit to block Warner Bros. Discovery's proposed $110 billion merger with Paramount. A trial is scheduled for March 2027. Paramount CEO David Ellison said he is "absolutely open" to a settlement but believes the company "will win in court."
