Three subsidised houses co-produce full-scale Othello for ten-week regional tour from September

Northern Stage, HOME Manchester and the Citizens Theatre Glasgow, in association with Royal and Derngate, will co-produce a full-scale Othello directed by Anthony Almeida. The co-production — meaning partner venues pool resources to mount one show — opens at Northern Stage on 11 September (press night 16 September) and visits seven venues over ten weeks, sharing cost and risk across subsidised houses to bring large-scale Shakespeare beyond the West End.
