Odd Slice Films takes worldwide rights to 'Concrete Land' before Locarno premiere

Odd Slice Films, founded by Martina Droandi, has acquired worldwide rights — all territories, covering global sales and distribution — to 'Concrete Land' before its 13 August world premiere in Locarno's Semaine de la Critique. The debut feature of Palestinian-Jordanian director Asmahan Bkerat, eight years in the making, follows the Najar family as luxury development encroaches on their land outside Amman. Pre-premiere worldwide deals typically attach to established directors or commercial hooks; this one has neither (Variety, 6 August 2026).
