Busan Names Michelle Yeoh Asian Filmmaker of the Year

The Busan International Film Festival named Michelle Yeoh its 2026 Asian Filmmaker of the Year on 6 August. Yeoh will accept the honour at the opening ceremony on 6 October, returning to the festival after 15 years. The 31st edition runs 6–15 October. Yeoh is the first Asian performer to win the Academy Award for best actress (The Hollywood Reporter).
